Concepción, Chile, September 10, 2026 — A leading global tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook), the exclusive tire supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), is set for Round 12 of the season, WRC Rally Chile BioBío, taking place from September 10 to 13 around Concepción.

First added to the WRC calendar in 2019, Rally Chile has been held annually since 2023 and returns for its fifth edition this year. Centered on Chile’s second-largest city along the Pacific coast, the event comprises 16 Special Stages (SS) spanning 311.18 competitive kilometers through dense forest roads and rugged unpaved hills across the BioBío region.

The route features a succession of fast corners on hard-packed gravel composed of volcanic ash particles and small stones. Rough terrain and sustained pace place significant stress on tire treads and sidewalls, making durability and wear resistance key factors during the rally.

Hankook will supply its all-terrain rally tire, the Dynapro R213, to support drivers across the demanding stages. The tire provides consistent grip and handling stability through cornering at speed while effectively absorbing repeated shocks, enabling confident control from start to finish.

Available in Hard and Soft compounds to match road and weather conditions, the Dynapro R213 enables strategic tire selection. The two options are designed to perform reliably across steep gradients, mud, and coarse gravel, demonstrating Hankook’s engineering capabilities.

After claiming victory in Paraguay to complete a three-round winning streak, Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team’s Sami Pajari (196 points) trails teammate and Drivers’ Championship leader Elfyn Evans (216 points) by 20 points.

Hankook has consistently proven its reliability across all WRC classes as the championship’s sole rally tire provider, even in extreme environments. Building on its innovative technology, the company delivers stable performance throughout the season while reinforcing its position as a global top-tier brand.
