Encarnación, Paraguay, August 27, 2026 — A leading global tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook), the exclusive tire supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), is set for Round 11 of the 2026 WRC, ueno Rally del Paraguay, taking place from August 27 to 30 around Encarnación, Paraguay.

Paraguay joined the WRC calendar for the first time last year, becoming the fourth South American country to host the championship after Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, drawing interest from local motorsport fans. This year’s rally comprises 22 Special Stages (SS) covering a total competitive distance of 358.99 kilometers. The rally features gravel stages with a mix of red clay and sand, running through dense forest areas where surface conditions can change rapidly due to shifting weather and repeated runs.

In particular, repeated runs are expected to create deep ruts and scatter gravel and dirt, resulting in significantly different driving conditions from stage to stage. In dry conditions, heavy dust can reduce visibility, while sudden showers can quickly make surfaces slippery, making tire technology that delivers stable performance across changing conditions a key factor throughout the rally.

Hankook will supply its all-terrain rally tire, the Dynapro R213, supporting stable performance across a wide range of unpaved surface conditions. The Dynapro R213 effectively absorbs impacts encountered on unpaved surfaces while providing stable grip and precise handling at high speeds, helping drivers maximize vehicle performance and driving capability.

Available in Hard and Soft compounds, the Dynapro R213 enables strategic tire development according to road and rally conditions. Its high-strength casing structure and precisely engineered tread pattern are designed to deliver stable performance even under rapid load variations across diverse unpaved surfaces.

In the Drivers’ Championship, Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team’s Elfyn Evans currently leads the standings with 201 points, with Sami Pajari trailing by 30 points. Intense competition among the leading drivers is expected to continue at ueno Rally del Paraguay as the championship battle unfolds.

Hankook continues to demonstrate its world-class motorsport technology as the exclusive rally tire supplier across all WRC classes. By actively leveraging extensive driving data accumulated across approximately 70 motorsport competitions worldwide, including the WRC, in its research and development (R&D), Hankook continues to drive innovation in high-performance tire technology while strengthening its competitiveness as a global top-tier brand.
