Seoul, Korea, March 13, 2026 — Global leading tire company Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook) announced that the 2026 season of the ‘Lamborghini Super Trofeo’ series—an international racing championship organized by the Italian supercar brand Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., for which Hankook exclusively supplies racing tires—will kick off with the opening round in Florida, U.S., from March 18 to 20 (local time). The race will mark the beginning of an eight-month global racing season.
Since the 2023 season, Hankook has supplied its ultra-high-performance racing tire ‘Ventus’ for the ‘Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2,’ the race car featured in the series. The tire supports Lamborghini race cars under extreme racing conditions at speeds approaching 300 km/h. In the upcoming season, Hankook aims to further strengthen the global premium status of its brand through strong collaboration with Lamborghini and by showcasing its advanced tire technology.
All Lamborghini race cars competing in this season’s championship will be equipped with Hankook’s ultra-high-performance racing tire ‘Ventus.’ The Ventus tire has consistently delivered outstanding grip, handling, heat resistance, and durability across diverse climates and extreme racing conditions in North America, Europe, and Asia. It has contributed to the excitement of the series while showcasing Hankook’s top-tier racing tire technology to motorsports fans worldwide.
The opening round of the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season will be held as part of the North America series. The race will take place at Sebring International Raceway, a 6.0-kilometer circuit built on part of Hendricks Field Airport in Florida, U.S. The track features 17 turns and is known for its unique layout that combines dedicated racing sections with airport runways, taxiways, and road course segments.
In particular, certain sections of the circuit are constructed with concrete surfaces, which place significant stress and impact on tires during high-speed driving and become even more slippery than asphalt in wet conditions. In addition, Florida’s intense sunlight can rapidly increase track temperatures, making tire management strategy a key factor that could influence the outcome of the race.
Nevertheless, Hankook is expected to once again demonstrate its global top-tier motorsports tire technology by supporting stable racing performance for Lamborghini race cars. The Ventus tire delivers strong grip, handling, heat resistance, and durability even under extreme racing conditions.
The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season will be held as three continental series in North America, Europe, and Asia. The races will take place across 10 countries, with each series consisting of six rounds. Among them, Round 4 of the Asia series will take place from July 17 to 19 at Inje Speedium in Gangwon Province, drawing strong anticipation from motorsports fans in Korea. Following the conclusion of each continental series, the respective champions will compete in the Grand Final, scheduled to take place in Italy from October 24 to 25 (local time), to determine the ultimate season champion.
Meanwhile, Hankook continues to demonstrate its top-tier motorsports technology by exclusively supplying racing tires or sponsoring participating teams across more than 70 major global motorsports competitions, including the ‘Lamborghini Super Trofeo’ and the ‘FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).’ Driving data collected from these competitions is translated into core ultra-high-performance tire technologies through the company’s world-class advanced R&D infrastructure, serving as a key driver of its leadership in the global tire market.
