Formal and Eriksson take the title with Hankook at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals in Misano

03 Dec 2025

This season’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo came to a spectacular conclusion with the World Finals at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on 8th and 9th November. A total of 81 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 2 lined up on the Hankook Ventus Race and served up a feast of thrilling racing in front of over 10,000 fans who had flocked to the 4.2-kilometre circuit for the final race weekend of the season. Danny Formal from Costa Rica and Sweden’s Hampus Eriksson from the Wayne Taylor Racing team finished fifth in the opening race, before securing the Pro title at the World Finals with victory in the second of the two races. The title-winning duo enjoyed a perfect event, having previously won the North American championship earlier in the weekend. Putera Adam from Malaysia won both the final two races in the European championship. That was enough to make him the first Asian driver to win the European title. Ireland’s Alex Denning and Charles Leong from Macau had already been confirmed as Asian champions ahead of the weekend. Hankook’s Ventus Race tyre delivered consistently high levels of grip throughout the entire season, which featured 38 races at 16 circuits on four continents. It also supported the 600-hp race cars at iconic tracks like Spa-Francorchamps, the Nürburgring, Indianapolis, Watkins Glen and Fuji. The third season as official tyre partner confirmed the performance of the product and concluded with visible results for the drivers, teams and brand in Misano. The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo kicks off from 18th to 20th March in Sebring. In Europe, the season gets underway from 10th to 12th April in Le Castellet, while Sepang hosts the opening round of the Asian championship from 24th to 26th April.
