Rinicella finishes runner-up in Eurocup-3 after thrilling finale in Barcelona

03 Dec 2025

The final round of the Eurocup-3 series at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in mid-November formed the conclusion of an exciting season in 2025. With Italian Mattia Colnaghi already confirmed as champion at the penultimate event, the focus shifted to the battle for second place. The main protagonists were Polish youngster Kacper Sztuka and his rival Valerio Rinicella from Italy. The opening race of the weekend saw Sztuka set the pace out in front on the Hankook Ventus Race. As well as claiming a commanding lights-to-flag victory, he also set the fastest lap time. Rinicella, on the other hand, produced a storming fightback, taking full advantage of the plentiful grip provided by the Hankook tyres to charge through the field from eighth to second place. The final race of the year was won by Andrés Cárdenas from Peru, who became the tenth race winner this season. Sztuka could do no better than fourth, behind Rinicella, who again finished runner-up to clinch second place in the championship.
