Champion Strauven claims ninth win of the season at the finale of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship in Barcelona

The seventh and final round of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship took place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and featured two 30-minute races and one 25-minute sprint. The 34 youngsters produced some captivating battles, in which the Hankook tyre provided the necessary stability. Champion Thomas Strauven from Belgian showed all his potential in the opening race, taking the chequered flag as the race winner for the ninth time this year. Dutchman Reno Francot used the high grip level of the Hankook tyre to control the penultimate race from pole position and claim his first victory of the season. Strauven’s compatriot Ean Eyckmans had the final say, winning the final showdown to secure second place in the championship and victory in the Rookie competition.
