Colnaghi wraps up Eurocup-3 title in Jerez with races to come
09 Oct 2025
Having already won the Spanish Formula 4 championship with Hankook last year, Mattia Colnaghi has now also triumphed in the Eurocup-3 series in 2025. At the penultimate round of the season, which took place in the Spanish city of Jerez in mid-September, the Italian managed to wrap up the title with races still to come. While he finished third in the opening race of the weekend, it was Enzo Tarnvanichkul who celebrated his maiden victory in the junior Formula championship. Starting from pole position, the Thai driver withstood pressure all race, including from Colnaghi, and held onto the lead right through to the finish with the support of the Hankook Ventus Race. The Italian youngster then secured the title in the 14th race of the season with his fifth win of 2025. He soon got his Hankook tyres up to the ideal temperature and pulled clear of the rest of the field, eventually taking the chequered flag as the new champion with a lead of five seconds. All eyes will now be on who ends the season in second place at the finale (10th to 12th October), which takes place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. A total of 56 points are still up for grabs, setting up an enthralling four-way battle for the runner-up spot in the championship.
