Strauven remains on course for the Formula 4 Spain title in Jerez

09 Oct 2025

Round five of the Spanish Formula 4 championship in Jerez (19th to 21st September) produced three different winners, all of whom were supported by the optimal grip level of the Hankook Ventus Race. After Belgian Eah Eyckmans had won the 13th race of the season, Rene Lammers from the Netherlands took victory in race two of the weekend. However, the focus was once again on Eyckmans’ compatriot Thomas Strauven. Having arrived in Jerez as the championship leader, the youngster from Genk was once again the most successful driver at the event. Second place, ninth, and then win number seven of the season in the 15th race of the championship earned him the biggest haul of 44 points and saw Strauven extend his lead over second-placed Lammers to 110 points. However, with a maximum 144 points still up for grabs, the title race is still alive. For Strauven and his pursuers Lammers, Eyckmans, Jan Przyrowski (Poland) and Spaniard Juan Cota, the penultimate round from 17th to 19th October in Valencia promises to be the pivotal event, at which the Hankook tyres will again provide a high and consistent level of grip.
