Eifel weather, maiden victories, and tyre gambles: Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe impresses at the Nürburgring
10 Sep 2025
Round four of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe took place at the Nürburgring on the last weekend in August. In unsettled weather, the iconic German circuit produced two exciting races, in which the Hankook Ventus Race supported all the competitors with optimal grip. Guido Luchetti won race seven of the season. This was the Italian’s very first victory in motorsport. Luchetti started from second on the grid and initially found himself behind Georgi Dimitrov from Great Britain. However, he then took the lead after the pit stops. The Hankook tyre gave him the stability required to set fast lap times on his way to victory. The secret to success in Sunday’s race was a brave tyre choice by the Target Racing team. Patrik Fraboni and his partner Giacomo Pedrini (both Italy) started on slicks, while almost the entire rest of the field lined up on the wet-weather variant of the Ventus Race. Fraboni initially lost many positions on the wet surface. However, as the track started to dry out, he took full advantage of the better grip provided by the slicks to spectacularly work his way into the lead. In the second stint, Pedrini comfortably held onto the lead to present the duo with their first overall win of the season. Round five of the season awaits the protagonists at Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya from 10th to 12th October.
