Calle Carlberg crowned FIA Junior ERC champion with races to come at the Rally Zlín

Delight for Sweden’s Calle Carlberg: he wrapped up the title in FIA Junior ERC at the penultimate round of the season, the Rally Zlin, in mid-August – with the finale still to come. The fact that he “only” finished eighth in the Czech Republic was incidental. Over the course of the season, the Swedish youngster has won three rallies and finished runner-up in one. This impressive record in the junior series, which is supported exclusively by Hankook, earned Carlberg his big breakthrough on the international rally scene. Winning the title has also secured the Scandinavian’s future: his prize is a fully-financed seat in Junior WRC in the 2026 season. Next year, the Junior WRC championship comprises five rallies and will also be supplied with Hankook’s premium tyre. The young drivers in FIA Junior ERC assemble in Croatia for the season finale from 3^rd to 5^th October, when the focus will be on the runner-up spot in the championship.
