Title celebrations at the Sachsenring: Lukas Stiefelhagen is the new NXT Gen Cup champion

This season’s NXT Gen Cup concluded with a dramatic finale at the Sachsenring from 22^nd to 24^th August. It was to be a special weekend for Lukas Stiefelhagen, as the Dutchman clinched the title in the fully-electric touring car series. The youngster enjoyed an impressive record in 2025, thanks in part to the consistently high performance of the Hankook tyres. Across the season’s 14 races, Stiefelhagen claimed twelve podium finishes – seven of them victories. However, it was also a successful weekend for local favourite Maxim Dacher, who twice made it onto the podium at his home event. That was enough to earn him second place in the championship. Girl power came courtesy of Sweden’s Siri Hökfelt and Latvian Patricija Stalidzane, who used the optimal grip level of the premium tyre to claim the first two female victories in the history of the series. After the official part of the season, there will now be a special junior race at Mantorp Park in Sweden from 18^th to 20^th September.
