On premium Hankook tyres: HWA EVO unveiled at the Nürburgring

Hankook and HWA presented the HWA EVO – a modern interpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.6-16 Evo II – at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The limited edition series of just 100 cars is fitted exclusively with Hankook high-performance tyres and combines contemporary technology with iconic design. Two prototypes – a DTM-inspired model and a Silver Thistle version – took centre stage during demonstration laps on the Nordschleife.

The car enjoyed its public premiere at the Adenauer Racing Day on 18^th June. The HWA EVO could also be admired up close and in person in the paddock over the course of the weekend. The close cooperation between Hankook and HWA is based on a shared motorsport DNA and the approach of combining performance and precision at the highest level. The plan is to run two further-developed HWA EVO cars in the SP-X class in the 2026 race – on Hankook tyres, of course.
