René Lammers takes the lead in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship in Navarra

02 Jun 2025

Round two of this season’s F4 Spanish Championship, from 2nd to 4th May at Circuito de Navarra in Spain, saw René Lammers move to the top of the table with two victories. The 16-year-old Dutchman, son of Formula 1 legend Jan Lammers, produced an impressive display at the challenging circuit and used the consistent performance of the Hankook Ventus Race to his advantage in races two and three of the weekend. The opening race was won by Poland’s Jan Przyrowski, but Lammers was unbeatable from that point on. Belgian Thomas Strauven scored valuable points with three runner-up finishes, and remains in contention for the title. Lammers now tops the Drivers’ Championship with 104 points, ahead of Strauven (97) and Przyrowski (90). Next up is Portimão on the Portuguese Algarve from 6th to 8th June.
