Carlberg unbeatable – impressive win in FIA Junior ERC in Hungary
02 Jun 2025
Calle Carlberg took an impressive victory at round two of the FIA Junior ERC on 10th and 11th May in Hungary, claiming nine stage wins in a commanding performance. The young Swedish driver, at the wheel of an Opel Corsa Rally4 on Hankook tyres, took the lead on stage two and continuously pulled clear of the rest of the field. Together with his Norwegian co-driver Jørgen Eriksen he controlled proceedings on the demanding gravel routes around Nyíregyháza. The Hankook tyres offered consistent grip and a high degree of stability on both days of the rally – a key factor in Carlberg’s comfortable lead at the finish. Second place went to Sweden’s Victor Hansen, ahead of Matteo Doretto from Italy in third, while the rest of the field enjoyed an exciting rally with many changes of position. Carlberg also won the ERC4 classification and now leads both championships – a successful weekend for the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team.
